Most websites get stuck in traffic after the relaunch. DeNitro works differently: a fixed monthly price, a delivery every Friday, and one point of contact – for companies in and around Hamburg.

DeNitro is a web design agency for Hamburg and the surrounding region that doesn't rebuild websites every three years – it makes them better every week. We design, rework, and maintain websites for companies with no in-house web person, as a fixed-price website subscription: 490, 890, or 1,490 € a month, cancel monthly, plus a one-time 990 € Startsprint. Delivery day is Friday. The business address is in Buxtehude; the work is done remotely for companies in the Hamburg area and across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Your point of contact is founder Denys Mor, who also does the work himself. As of October 2026.

Why most websites get stuck after launch

The usual route looks like this: you commission a relaunch, the new website goes live weeks or months later – and then nothing happens. The agency has moved on to the next project. Every change becomes a request, every request a quote, every quote an invoice at an hourly rate.

So the new service never makes it onto the site, the team photo goes out of date, and the home page loads a little slower on mobile every quarter. Three years later the website counts as "old" again and the cycle restarts. The problem is rarely the design on day one. It is the time after.

Stop rebuilding your website every three years. Make it better every week.

That is what the website subscription is built for: one fixed price, one fixed rhythm, one fixed point of contact.

What you get: finished tasks, not timesheets

You don't buy hours. You buy finished tasks. Every task has a fixed value in points, so you know up front what it costs.

TaskPoints
Text or image change, small fix1
Load time: one page in the green2
Meta, headings, and schema for 5 pages2
Blog post (900–1,200 words)2
New section on a page2
A/B test (headline or button)2
New service page or landing page4
Redesign of an existing page4

Every plan also includes:

  • at least one delivery a week – always on Friday,
  • a one-minute video with every delivery: what was done and what it gets you,
  • a report with numbers, every month,
  • one point of contact who does the work himself,
  • ownership: website, logins, and data stay with you.

Points you don't use in one month stay valid for one more month.

How it works: message, board, Friday

1. Hop on: the Startsprint

Two weeks before the first subscription month, 990 € one-time. We connect Search Console and Analytics, measure the baseline, and fix the five biggest bottlenecks. After that, 30+ findings are waiting on your board – tasks for months. You don't have to come up with anything.

2. Ask: one message is enough

No brief, no form. "We now offer maintenance contracts, that needs to be on the website" is all it takes. The task gets its point value and joins the board. If you have no request right now, we work through the findings from the Startsprint.

3. Friday is delivery day

Something goes live every week. The Start plan gets one delivery a week, Growth two, Team three to four. Not "when capacity frees up" – on schedule.

4. Hop off if it doesn't fit

You cancel with one message, effective at month-end. No minimum term, no annual contract. You stay because it works, not because you have to.

What does web design in Hamburg cost?

It depends on which lane you take. The ranges below are typical German market figures from publicly available price lists and guides (as of October 2026). They are not quotes; an individual project can land above or below.

RouteTypical priceWhat happens afterwards
Classic agency projectmostly 3,500–8,000 € one-time for a small business website; larger projects 8,000–20,000 € and upChanges billed hourly or through a maintenance contract
Freelancerroughly 1,000–5,000 € one-timeChanges often at 80–120 € an hour, depending on availability
Website builder (Wix, Jimdo, Squarespace)roughly 10–50 € a monthYou build and maintain everything yourself
Rental websiteroughly 80–375 € a month plus setupOften a 12–24 month commitment, few changes included
DeNitro website subscription490, 890, or 1,490 € a month, one-time 990 € StartsprintA delivery every week, cancel monthly

Our three plans in detail:

  • Start, 490 € a month: 4 points, one delivery a week. For websites that run and should stay in shape.
  • Growth, 890 € a month: 8 points, two deliveries a week. For websites that should bring in more inquiries.
  • Team, 1,490 € a month: 14 points, three to four deliveries a week, a report every two weeks, and one call a month.

No VAT is charged (§ 19 UStG, the German small-business rule): the number on the price list is the number on the invoice. There are no extra charges. All plans and the full task catalog are on the pricing page.

Website relaunch in Hamburg: start over or go page by page?

A full relaunch is the right call when the platform is at the end of its life, the brand has changed fundamentally, or the site simply can't be maintained anymore. In every other case it is the most expensive route to a result you can also reach in stages.

In the subscription we renew a website page by page. Redesigning an existing page costs four points. In the Growth plan that is two pages a month – a website with eight pages is fully reworked after four months. This route has three advantages:

  1. The website stays online. There is no single date on which everything has to work at once.
  2. The addresses stay put. Change every URL in a relaunch and forget the redirects, and you lose visibility on Google. Rebuilding in stages avoids that.
  3. You see what works. Each reworked page can be measured on its own before the next one is up.

Do you need a completely new website – because none exists yet, or because the old one runs on a platform we don't cover in the subscription? That is a separate project. How it works and what the German market charges for it is covered on the page about having a website built.

What makes a website sell

Good-looking design is the entry ticket, not the goal. Four things decide whether visitors turn into inquiries. We go deeper on the design side in What Is Good Web Design?.

Speed

A page that loads sluggishly on a phone loses visitors before they have read the first sentence. Google measures this with the Core Web Vitals. In the subscription, "Load time: one page in the green" is a fixed task for two points.

Clarity

After five seconds it has to be clear: what do you offer, for whom, and what is the next step? One goal per page, one button, a phone number nobody has to search for.

SEO basics

A service without its own page will not be found for that service. Clean headings, meta data, schema markup, and one page per service are craft, not secret knowledge. If you want to move up in local search specifically, the SEO agency for Hamburg page is the right lane.

Visibility in AI answers

More and more people ask ChatGPT or Perplexity instead of Google which provider in their city is good. On our own website, more visitors arrived through ChatGPT than through Google Search in September 2026 – 16 sessions versus 7, according to Google Analytics. Small numbers, clear direction. What a website needs for that: plain statements in the first paragraph, a clean structure, and facts that can be quoted – who, what, for whom, where, at what price.

Web design for Hamburg: being found locally

Anyone in Hamburg looking for an electrician in Eimsbüttel, a physiotherapy practice in Winterhude, or a law firm in the city center first sees a map with three entries. Whether your business is one of them is decided in a few places: a well-kept Google Business Profile, your address and service area as structured data on the website, and pages that say what you offer and where. The guide to local SEO for small businesses in Germany walks through the steps.

That applies north and south of the Elbe. A trades business in Harburg needs the same foundations as a real estate agent in Blankenese or a service company in the Altes Land.

An example from the Hamburg region is our client project M&Y Haus und Garten: an owner-run property and garden service from Jork with a second location in Buxtehude. Seven services sit on a single page, and every section ends in a call or an inquiry. The form has four fields, two of them required. Both locations, the service area, and the service catalog are published as structured data, so local search and AI answers place the business correctly.

Who DeNitro is for – and who it isn't

It fits if

  • you run a company and nobody in-house looks after the website,
  • your website runs on WordPress, Webflow, or Shopify,
  • you want predictable costs instead of invoices that surprise you,
  • you make the decisions yourself and prefer a message to a meeting.

It doesn't fit if

  • your website runs on Wix, Jimdo, Typo3, or a custom build – we can't keep up the pace there,
  • you want to book as a private individual – the subscription is for businesses only,
  • you are looking for strategy, keyword research, link building, or ad campaigns – none of that is in the subscription,
  • you expect an agency with a large team and weekly status meetings. The Start and Growth plans come with videos, not calls.

We are taking on 12 clients until year-end. One person can't do more than that properly; after that there is a waiting list.

How to recognize a good web design agency in Hamburg

Whether you choose us or someone else, these five questions save you trouble:

  1. Is the price fixed before work begins? A quote "based on effort" is a blank check.
  2. Who owns the website in the end? Domain, logins, and data belong in your hands, not the agency's.
  3. What happens after launch? Ask how fast the first change goes live and what it costs. The answer tells you how the next few years will go.
  4. Who actually does the work? The person in the sales call is often not the one who later builds your pages.
  5. Are the references real and reachable? Ask to see websites that are online, not mockups.

The most common mistakes on the client side: choosing by the prettiest mockup instead of the clearest process, treating copy and photos as an afterthought, and signing a long-commitment contract without reading the notice period.

/ Questions

How much does a web design agency in Hamburg cost?

For a classic agency project, typical German market figures are roughly 3,500 to 8,000 € for a small business website, and 8,000 to 20,000 € or more for larger projects. DeNitro charges a fixed monthly price instead: 490, 890, or 1,490 €, plus a one-time 990 € Startsprint. No VAT is charged (§ 19 UStG, small-business rule).

Is DeNitro located in Hamburg?

No. The business address is in Buxtehude; the Hamburg area is our market. We work remotely for companies in Hamburg, the surrounding region, and across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The free intro call takes 15 minutes.

Do you also build completely new websites?

Yes, but not as part of the subscription. A completely new website is a separate project with its own quote; we settle scope and price in the intro call. The subscription is for websites that already exist and should get better week after week – new pages and redesigns of single pages are included.

How long does a website relaunch take?

A classic relaunch takes several weeks to a few months, depending on scope. In the subscription we renew your website page by page: a page redesign costs four points, which means two pages a month in the Growth plan. The site stays online the whole time, and a piece is finished every week.

Which platforms do you work on?

In the subscription: WordPress, Webflow, and Shopify. We don't offer it on Wix, Jimdo, Typo3, or custom-built sites, because we can't keep up the pace there. Which platform suits a new website is something we settle in the intro call.

Is SEO included in the web design work?

The basics are: load time, headings, meta data, schema markup, and new service pages are all in the subscription's task catalog. Strategy and keyword research, link building, and ad campaigns are not included – there is a larger package for that.

Who does the work?

Denys Mor, founder of DeNitro. You message him directly, with no project manager in between. Every delivery comes with a one-minute video showing what was done and what it gets you.

How do I cancel?

With one message, effective at the end of the month. There is no minimum term and no annual contract. Website, logins, and data stay with you – even after the subscription ends.
